AstraNet appointment
The appointment of AstraNet Systems as UK and European distributor for RoMack fibre optics marks the start of a significant collaboration. RoMack Inc has decades of unique experience and the company's market-leading industrial immersion probes will partner AstraNet's important new range of SWIR spectrometers to provide turnkey on-line process control systems. Adding RoMack's world-class fibre optics to AstraNet's specialist expertise in spectroscopy will lead to solutions with a wide range of applications. Immersion probes can be connected to any fibre optic coupled spectrometer to measure samples in situ, for example, to follow a reaction within a vessel in the lab, or to monitor industrial effluent in an out-flow pipe. Fluorescence and reflectance probes convert a fibre optic spectrometer to a spectrofluorimeter and colour measuring instrument, while specially designed input connectors will allow laser sources to be launched into a fibre for analysis by a spectrometer.
According to AstraNet MD, Mike Mills, 'We are delighted to have secured this new agreement.
